Senior Financial Analyst, Cloud Finance Emerging Business Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 5 years with a relevant advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in ambiguous, unprecedented transaction settings, navigating complex documentation with multiple parties across several dimensions, including business, legal, and financial considerations.
  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, AI/ML hardware (GPUs/TPUs/custom silicon), and data center operations.
  • Advanced investigative skills, including financial modeling, experience with large datasets and integrated financial systems.
  • Strong people management and influencing skills, able to navigate complex cross-functional activities with multiple stakeholders in ambiguous environments.
  • Proven track record of streamlining complex, cross-functional activities into simple and understandable processes that are logical, coherent, and replicable.

The Cloud Finance Emerging Business team is at the center of Google Cloud’s exciting new initiatives. As a key partner to Treasury, Accounting, Legal, TI, and Cloud partner organizations, we provide the financial insight necessary to scale our global footprint and lead the AI revolution.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive critical processes and negotiations related to transactions that will enable important emerging Cloud initiatives. Help develop financial structures that will support new business activity and drive documentation with cross-functional partners and external advisors/partners.
  • Support discovery and design efforts to establish financial data systems or processes for new businesses.
  • Build and actively manage financial models that unify inputs from multiple sources, enabling planning that can be relied on for agreement discussions and long-term business forecasts.
  • Author high-stakes presentations/narratives for executive leadership and the Board, including periodic updates on annual budget and capacity versus plan, annual Capital Expenditure (CapEx) investment documents, and infrastructure strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with financial and operational partners, as well as the PMO team, to ensure tools and processes deliver relevant information for reporting, analytics, and decision-making.
