Product Strategy and Operations Lead, YouTube Strategic Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, product management and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.
  • Experience with structured SQL language or coding.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with data sets, data visualization tools, and interpreting data sets.
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams.
  • Ability to translate analysis results into business recommendations.
  • Ability to present to an executive audience (specifically regarding financial or strategic narratives).
  • Ability to work and prioritize in a changing/evolving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

The YouTube Claims Council is a high-impact team responsible for ensuring that YouTube's story is told accurately and effectively.

In this role, you will manage the data strategy and stakeholder relationships for our Executive Communications team and other key strategic initiatives. You will be at the center of how the world perceives YouTube, contributing to critical narratives that support our business goals. You will be the primary point of contact for high-visibility moments, including executive speeches and major press engagements, ensuring our data narratives are precise, defensible, and strategically aligned.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $150000 - $218000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Manage the data landscape and strategic relationships with Executive Communications and leadership across key strategic initiatives. Serve as the primary lead for high-stakes external moments, including executive speeches and major press moments.
  • Enable claims that tell the YouTube story through data, ensuring accuracy for all public-facing narratives. Prioritize across a set of needs, stakeholders, and timelines.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies, including manufacturing data pulls and standardizing analytical workflows to support rapid, high-quality output.
  • Manage the analytics needed to ensure YouTube Claims Council stakeholders have the information they need to mitigate reputational and financial risk.
  • Help evolve external data sharing policies by providing data-driven thought leadership behind changes or additions.
