Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or consultative account management at a B2B software company.
- Experience engaging and building relationships with a range of internal teams and customer stakeholders.
- Experience prospecting, or building customer relationships from scratch.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle (e.g., pipeline management, forecasting, reporting) and managing commercial negotiations and agreements.
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with the core workflows of the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated "hunter" mindset with a track record of prospecting and establishing new customer relationships.
- A professional background as an account manager in the German insurance sector, specifically engaging with major domestic insurers or brokers.
- Ability to communicate in both German and English fluently to be able to communicate effectively with prospective customers.

As a Field Sales Representative (FSR) on the German insurance team, you'll drive growth for Google Cloud. Your focus will be on winning several greenfield insurance accounts. You'll lead engagements with a range of cross-industry enterprise customers, helping them solve their business challenges with our solutions. To succeed, you'll need to identify specific business problems, work with stakeholders across accounts, and partner with your team to develop technical solutions. You'll also build meaningful relationships with customers at all levels, from developers to executives. In addition, you'll lead a cross-functional team and leverage resources like Customer Engineering, Business Development, cross-functional sellers, and partners to maximize outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Develop business with several insurance greenfield enterprise accounts, creating and building customer and c-level relationships from scratch, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor on their long-term technology and business decisions.
- Become an expert on the customers' business, including their services, processes and technology strategy, strategic growth plans, business drivers, financial structure, customer base, vertical market offering and competitive landscape.
- Lead account strategy to develop business growth opportunities, working cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google Partners, to maximize business impact within enterprise customers.
- Manage complex business cycles, presenting to C-level executives and negotiating terms.
- Drive business development, own operational excellence at scale, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
