Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 7 years of experience with full stack development, from embedded to high-level applications, in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin or Go.
- 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
- Experience with audio technologies (e.g., audio systems, audio features, audio research, etc).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 20 years of experience delivering consumer electronics products, feature roadmaps, or audio technologies.
- Experience collaborating and aligning teams across organization and company boundaries, driving partnerships and strategies for market delivery.
- Experience delivering validation strategies, systemic improvements, and driving best practices to push audio quality to exceptional levels.
- Experience with full stack systems development, from embedded to high-level applications, including experience managing development power, latency, and performance tradeoffs.
- Specialization in Audio processing, system optimization, performance tuning and market delivery.

Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities
- Collaborates with senior leadership, product management and research teams to define the roadmap of audio features for Pixel devices.
- Implements experiences and features working with codebases throughout the stack from embedded to high level OS application.
- Leads multi-year engineering efforts across sub-component teams while owning the strategy, architectural improvements, and program methodologies required to deliver audio quality on Pixel devices.
- Designs solution architectures that enable solutions to fit within extremely constrained compute environments, respecting power, performance, latency and user experience tradeoffs.
- Holds teams and the organization accountable for Pixel Audio quality, ensuring polish and perfecting product to create delightful audio experiences for users.
