Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust and Safety, or technology environment.
- Experience working with global teams and communicating with stakeholders cross-functionally.
- Experience using AI tools in a policy or trust and safety context.
Preferred qualifications:
- JD, MBA, or Master’s degree.
- Experience implementing strategic or projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Level of comfort engaging in and discussing graphic, controversial, or offensive topic areas.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $136000 - $196000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update our global policies focusing on policy requirements for harmful and dangerous activities, suicide and self-harm, graphic violence and other areas.
- Identify policy issues that may affect Google and understand their impact, and manage high-impact policy escalations and suggest improvements.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement product policies and standards.
- Work cross-functionally to develop and launch products that promote user trust and uphold Google’s policies.
- Incorporate AI tools into core work, and understand the use and impact of AI tools in the YouTube creator ecosystem.
