As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives focused on software product development across Google Home. Drive technical program execution from design to launch, identifying and unblocking systemic engineering operations bottlenecks to optimize product quality and release velocity.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled automation and tooling to streamline engineering operations.
  • Analyze system-level and workflow-level data to diagnose friction in the software development lifecycle. Build and execute concrete technical strategies that shorten dev-to-release cycles while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Act as a technical catalyst for transitioning the organization to AI-driven workflows. Mentor teams on utilizing generative AI tools and agentic workflows to solve daily development and operational challenges.
  • Drive critical business operations for the Home organization. Lead resource capacity planning, manage program budgets, and orchestrate head-count alignment against our stack-ranked area roadmaps.
