Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with data and analytics to define, track, and improve product quality and readability metrics.
  • Experience executing incremental software launches and software development lifecycles.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Intellectual curiosity and natural comfort with learning technical material, processes and applications quickly and thoroughly with an ability to quickly develop expertise in new areas and projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, working independently and driving projects to completion with minimum guidance and high attention to detail.
  • Action-oriented with organizational, project management abilities, and masterful use of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Practical, independent problem solver with natural curiosity, research, fact-finding, and analytical skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, partner closely with our Product and Engineering teams, and use your entrepreneurial drive to contribute to the long-term growth of Google Shopping. As a Technical Program Manager for Shopping Data, you will continually improve the online shopping experience on Google Shopping through managing team initiatives. You will work directly with Engineering teams throughout Shopping to launch and support features.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Learn and build expertise in new processes and technical applications.
  • Manage software launches across multiple surfaces.
  • Prioritize and manage projects and deliverables effectively, and quickly adapt projects to changing processes and requirements.
  • Lead efforts to obtain, manage and enhance data used to make product decisions.
  • Lead launch efforts with a deep understand of the process, policies and regulations that must be followed to launch in different locales.
