About the job

At Google we work hard to earn our users' trust every day. Trust and Safety is Google's team of abuse fighting and user trust experts working daily to make the internet a safer place. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. The Operational Excellence (OpsEx) team is a critical pillar of our Trust and Safety Compute organization, enabling developer experience and platform safety through AI driven operations portfolio management.

As a Policy Lifecycle Management Lead in Google Play Trust and Safety Operational Excellence, you will lead the end-to-end governance, process framework, and operational execution of our policy lifecycle—from initial intake triggers through post-launch observability and tuning. Partnering closely with Product Management (PM), Legal, Policy, Quality, and Operations teams, you will serve as the chief orchestrator translating regulatory mandates, product requests, threat escalations, and industry standards into rigorously validated, scalable operational workflows.

You will govern both qualitative and quantitative business ratification and lead executive decision gates (SteerCos) to ensure cross-functional alignment and operational readiness. You will guide executive decision-makers through complex policy design trade-offs, overseeing sandbox testing, red teaming, and quality enforcement frameworks prior to launch. Combining strong business acumen, quantitative modeling (evaluating Cost of Google Services and Developer ROI), and executive presence, you will establish integrated launch workstreams and continuous real-time telemetry feedback loops that safeguard user trust and optimize developer experience.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
