About the job

In this position, you will serve as a dedicated communications partner to the President of EMEA Cloud, shaping their public and internal platform, defining EMEA Cloud narratives around priority topics. You are curiosity-driven and an organized team player who will help execute strategic communications campaigns, write compelling messages for leadership, create thoughtful presentations for internal meetings and find innovative ways to engage employees to build a shared culture. You will devise creative, fun and non-standard solutions to help leaders effectively communicate our goal and strategy to their teams, the wider Google Cloud audience and industry partners. You will be a true problem solver and understand complex challenges, break them down, and help leaders communicate using written (emails, blog posts, FAQ) and spoken (presentations, video) forms. You will also support a variety of special projects including crisis communications, culture initiatives and leadership programs.

Google Cloud has experienced tremendous growth over the past three years, and the further Go-to-Market growth projections will present a huge opportunity for communications. This is a fast-paced, kinetic environment that is perfect for someone who enjoys using their creativity and building structure and process. As part of the Google Cloud Communications team, it’s our job to help inform and educate customers, partners, opinion leaders, and our own employees about the benefits of our products, our company culture and values, and our approach to the public policy issues of the day.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a direct strategic communications counselor to the EMEA Cloud President and senior leadership, understanding their unique style, business goals, and voice, author high-quality internal emails, talking points, briefings, and presentations, as well as external thought-leadership assets.
  • Prepare executives for critical internal and external touchpoints, including leadership meetings, town halls, all-hands, and key industry speaking slots.
  • Create, plan, and deploy holistic communications campaigns that drive employee engagement, align teams with company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and build a shared culture, manage the rhythm, channels, and overall frequency of leadership-to-employee communications.
  • Provide critical comms support for sensitive organizational announcements, change management, crisis scenarios, and culture initiatives.
  • Partner seamlessly with cross-functional stakeholders in Public Relations, Marketing, Government Affairs and Public Policy, broader GCPA teams, Legal, HR, and Operations/Program Management to align internal narratives with external messaging.
