API and Integrations Developer, Workspace Ecosystem

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing intuitive, flexible, and enduring APIs/interfaces alongside system architectures that leverage AI/LLM capabilities while ensuring highly reliable, low-latency performance.
  • Ability to foster a positive, collaborative, and empathetic team culture, prioritizing open communication and strong relationship-building across teammates, partners, and users.
  • Track record of driving cross-cutting infrastructure designs and technical implementations, combined with the coordination skills needed to execute projects in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Canada: $260000 - $267000 (CAD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Influence the product goal and build secure, elegant API/interface offerings that integrate first, second, and third-party tools and agents to serve Workspace users in an agentic world.
  • Enjoy high autonomy and creative leeway as a executive leader on the Ecosystem developing leadership team.
  • Based in Waterloo, this role reports directly to the site-lead director and offers a unique opportunity to shape the local team culture.
