Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree EHS, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience managing EHS compliance/systems.
- 2 years of experience managing EHS program/project management.
- Experience conducting EHS Risk Assessments and overseeing workplace hazard control measures.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to travel for domestic and international trips up to 50%.
Preferred qualifications:
- Possession of statutory Japanese certifications, such as Health Supervisor (衛生管理者), Pollution Control Manager (公害管理者), Hazardous Materials Engineer (危険物取扱者) or Fire Defense Equipment Officer (消防設備士).
- Possession of internationally recognized EHS related certifications/ courses.
- Experience managing multi-site portfolios and coordinating with third-party vendors.
- Experience of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, certified internal/lead auditor.
- Passion for safety and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities
- Act as a key contributor to continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations by building trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations of program stakeholders and ensuring they have the insights they need to make effective decisions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of programs, proactively identifying, organizing, and leading program activities that drive impactful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
- Define and address undefined cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, utilizing program management methodologies to effectively monitor and manage programs and stakeholders.
