Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems, with a focus on scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability.
  • Experience developing and designing APIs.
  • Experience with computer science fundamentals (e.g., data structures, algorithms, software design).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing nutrition, fitness, health technology, or wellness applications.
  • Experience deploying, testing, and serving artificial intelligence capabilities and data services.
  • Experience utilizing artificial intelligence development tools for test automation, debugging, and code synthesis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data infrastructure powering core nutrition and wellbeing features.
  • Build and support the data systems and deployment/testing infrastructure that connect data pipelines with AI-powered health and coaching features.
  • Partner with engineers, product managers, UX designers, clinical specialists, and Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to turn product requirements into technical designs and user-friendly features.
  • Leverage modern AI-assisted developer tools to accelerate coding, debugging, test generation, and code understanding, applying strong engineering excellence and a human-in-the-loop mindset to ensure software reliability and security.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, maintain unit and integration test suites, and monitor production systems to ensure high performance and availability.
