In accordance with Washington state law, we are highlighting our comprehensive benefits package, which is available to all eligible US based employees. Benefits for this role include:

  • Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks
  • Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Linguistics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in conversation design, content design, with equivalent experience designing for conversational AI/LLMs or adaptive, personalized systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in vibe-coding and developing AI-powered prototypes.
  • Demonstrated experience growing in a startup environment, comfortable with the ambiguity, rapid iteration, and resourcefulness to deliver impactful designs in a changing, evolving landscape.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Familiarity with behavioral data and strong capability to create data-driven yet personalized designs, while being equally capable of moving forward in the absence of data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate positions, and tests partners with new product design thinking.

US: $160,000 - $231,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Apply deep understanding of model capabilities to guide prompt engineering and prototyping strategies, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality, context-aware and personalized model outputs.
  • Initiate qualitative assessments of model performance, applying mastery of the eval process to develop a strategy for continuous quality hillclimbing to improve personalization experiences across the app.
  • Partner with AI product designers to craft leading-edge multimodal solutions, ensuring model responses and UI components work in concert to deliver cohesive, high quality experiences.
  • Develop system instructions for intuitive UX patterns and user controls for context, user preferences, and memory.
  • Stay current on the latest design trends and technologies, in consumer technology, generative AI and natural language processing, and leverage this knowledge to innovate.
