Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in enterprise technology sales, software sales, or business development.
- 10 years of experience selling cloud platform, enterprise data management, API management, or modern analytics/BI solutions to North American enterprise clients.
- 10 years of experience hiring, leading, and scaling enterprise sales teams (second-line management or senior first-line leadership in a SaaS/Cloud environment).
- Experience discussing and negotiating multi-year commercial agreements with C-level stakeholders (CIO, CTO, CDO, CFO, LoB).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading and scaling sales organizations across North American industry verticals (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Retail/CPG, TMEG, Manufacturing).
- Deep domain understanding across the Agentic Data Cloud portfolio: databases (e.g., relational/distributed SQL, NoSQL, open-source migrations, and operational data platforms), API Management (e.g., Enterprise API lifecycle, microservices connectivity (Apigee), security, and API monetization), Business Intelligence (BI) (e.g., semantic layers, governed BI (Looker), and embedded analytics).
About the job
As the Director of Data Cloud, GTM for North America (Databases, Apigee, and Business Intelligence), you will have a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving specialist bookings, consumption, and market share across North American enterprise accounts, key industry verticals (e.g., FinServ, HCLS, Retail/CPG, TMEG, and Manufacturing/Energy), and regional territories. You will lead a high-performing organization of specialized sales leaders and senior sales specialists.
In this role, you will develop and own the North America GTM strategy to modernize core transactional databases, govern and monetize digital APIs via Apigee, and scale enterprise semantic data modeling with Looker. You will partner closely with North America Field Sales leadership (FSRs/KADs), Customer Engineering, Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), and Product Engineering to accelerate complex modernization cycles and build durable C-level partnerships.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.US: $211000 - $293000 (USD) + 100% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Own the North America specialist sales quota, bookings, and revenue growth across databases, Apigee, and BI. Drive high forecast accuracy, pipeline velocity, and full book-of-business health across regional territories.
- Attract, hire, mentor, and scale top specialist sales talent and frontline leaders across North America. Foster a culture of technical value-selling and operational execution.
- Serve as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor to CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, and line-of-business executives across strategic North American enterprise accounts.
- Define and execute targeted North American GTM plays for legacy database modernization (e.g., offloading Oracle/SQL Server to AlloyDB and Cloud Spanner), API security and integration with Apigee, and enterprise governed BI adoption with Looker.
