Group Product Manager, Gemini Audio Delivery and Infrastructure, DeepMind

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical roles.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with streaming LLMs, speech systems, or real-time media/streaming infrastructure.
  • Experience defining developer APIs, SDKs, or cloud reference architectures for enterprise customer adoption.
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks for generative AI models (benchmarks, human evaluations, and live A/B experiments).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical cross-functional efforts spanning research scientists, infrastructure engineers, and enterprise partner teams.

The Gemini Audio team focuses on native speech and multimodal models, turning research breakthroughs into low-latency, scalable production systems used across Google products and third-party developer platforms.

As a Staff Product Manager for Gemini Audio Delivery and Infrastructure at Google DeepMind, you will drive the delivery of Gemini Audio models into production and define the production and research infrastructure required to run them. Gemini Audio spans conversational dialog (Live), Transcribe, expressive speech synthesis (TTS), and Translation.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $300000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) by overseeing collaboration with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, Program Managers, UX) during product design.
  • Own and oversee definition of product roadmaps.
  • Own development and secure buy-in for a product outlook that identifies, defines, and supports the overall product narrative and direction, achieving an outcome that is greater than the sum of its parts.
  • Oversee validation of market size and opportunity (e.g., user-based, strategic opportunity, revenue).
  • Lead the team through defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics, both quantitative and qualitative for new or existing products or business ventures.
