Senior Associate, Strategic Partner Development, Entertainment and Streaming

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in sales, account management, strategy, or business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 2 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in CTV video, OTT, or other advertising technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Understanding of the video and entertainment industry, key platforms and trends (e.g., Free Ad Supported Television, Advertising Video On Demand, D2C and CTV/OTT distribution) and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Ability to analyze complex business opportunities across multiple product areas.
  • Ability to negotiate agreements, interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing and largely undefined space.
  • Passion for emerging video sectors.

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

Google's Media and Entertainment sell-side organization partners with leading broadcasters, sports leagues,and streaming providers to accelerate digital evolution and drive sustainable business via Google’s video technology and advertising ecosystem. We empower partners to reach global audiences and deliver seamless streaming experiences by leveraging platform and business generation solutions for live events and CTV.

In this role, you will manage ad infrastructure and programmatic inventory partnerships with digital video/CTV partners to foster ecosystem growth. You will set strategic direction, drive growth,and align stakeholders to execute account priorities. You will build executive relationships and monitor industry trends to shape strategy.

You are adept at resolving contractual, technical, and financial issues to represent our users, products,and programs. You will anticipate decision-making, understand complex business lines, and explore partner business needs. Demonstrating a hunger for new business, you will expand existing partnerships and secure new ones. You will apply your strategic acumen, industry knowledge,and product understanding to grow Google's partner base and revenue, flexing your technical skills to optimize partner use of Google Ad Manager.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $112000 - $162000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep understanding of partner’s core business, priorities, and challenges and work with Google leaders on overall partner strategy.
  • Manage and grow programmatic business, product adoption, and relationships with top video and streaming and CTV partners.
  • Negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, agreement negotiations and compliance processes.
  • Create and lead executive partner engagement strategy to develop deep and trusted relationships with executives internally and externally.
  • Understand the full scope of partner business generation and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, performers used and how ad monetization fits into larger business strategy.
