Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, YouTube Product Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Ability to communicate in German fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of the telco, tech and digital media ecosystem in EMEA.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, matrixed, fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Excellent people and communication skills to formulate and articulate contractual, technical, financial, and business points with partners and internal teams.

The YouTube Product Partnerships team drives the partner strategy and manages key relationships that help to make YouTube’s products more universally accessible and useful. We own the business side of new products and initiatives, and our strategic partnerships seek to build, distribute, grow, and protect YouTube’s products globally. We know how to assess partnership opportunities in any situation, define a strategy, and work closely within our team, and with Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive critical partnerships that help evolve our business.

As a Strategic Partner Manager (SPM), you will orchestrate and elevate YouTube’s highest-value partnerships across Germany (primary focus), Austria & Switzerland. You will serve as a key local leader, driving business growth through strategic relationship management, complex deal execution, and deep ecosystem expertise, while representing the local partnership perspective within global internal forums. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the evolving digital video ecosystem, encompassing AVOD and SVOD platforms, connected devices, telecommunications providers, and the broader competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize strategic relationships with telco and OEM partners across the DACH region to drive YouTube growth.
  • Lead end-to-end, technical product negotiations for mobile integrations and subscription reseller agreements, ensuring high-value, mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Track and report on deal performance against core business objectives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and maximized regional impact.
  • Provide actionable intelligence on market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging verticals like e-commerce and travel to inform Global and EMEA leadership.
  • Cultivate strong internal alliances with Google Product, Legal, and Marketing teams to defend regional initiatives and expand the broader YouTube third-party ecosystem.
