Program Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (English, Spanish)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management or project management.
  • Experience in the data center, mission critical design concepts, and international environmental regulations.
  • Experience in policy analysis, policy development, policy implementation, or legal documentation.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to engage with stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience communicating with government authorities regarding EHS issues.
  • Excellent collaboration, project management, data quality troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proactively identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver successful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
  • Must be registered in the Registro Nacional de Expertos en Prevención de Riesgos via the SEREMI de Salud as an Experto Profesional or Experto Técnico (under DS 40) with a valid credential to legally authorize safety documents such as the Reglamento Interno de Orden, Higiene y Seguridad (RIOHS) and incident reports under DS 44.

As an EHS Program Manager, you will play a vital role in driving continuous improvement across Google's EHS operations. You will proactively identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver impactful business, operational, and technical improvements. You will be responsible for scoping, phasing, and leading ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, ensuring alignment of executive stakeholders across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver successful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
  • Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges, including delivering downstream change management, alongside your stakeholder team.
  • Ensure alignment of executive cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for program initiatives, ensuring alignment with Google's overall EHS vision and goals.
  • Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
