Technical Program Manager, Opto-Mechanical Module Quality, XR

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in hardware engineering/technical program management.
  • Experience leading New Product Introduction and manufacturing initiatives for optoelectronic products.
  • Experience in product quality functions like reliability, failure analysis, or manufacturing quality.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in technical program manager with shipping high-volume consumer electronics products, moving beyond coordination to drive cross-functional engineering teams, and in resolving complex design challenges.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics space for opto-mechanical modules like display, camera, LED, etc.
  • Experience in the opto-mechanical product manufacturing, driving Quality improvement initiatives (LEAN, PDCA, Six Sigma Methods etc,), and implementing structured problem-solving methodology including 8D/Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall quality deliverables during the Product Development Process (PDP) and sustaining phase of XR Opto-mechanical modules.
  • Track and analyze quality metrics to anticipate issues, propose solutions, and manage dependencies, collaborating across cross-functional teams and supplier teams.
  • Manage supplier/partner interactions on opto-mechanical module quality and collaborate with engineering, applications, quality and other teams to report quality status, prioritize topics, drive root cause/corrective action and implement lessons learned. Travel regularly to manufacturing partner sites in Asia.
  • Drive quality improvement projects involving both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring objective alignment, progress monitoring, timely delivery and measurable results.
  • Communicate program status timely and clearly to team members and leaderships in different areas with various backgrounds.
