As a Strategic Partner Manager for Specialized Devices and Services Sales, you will deliver full pieces of a partner project that are integrated into overarching projects, with minimal assistance. You will contribute to the identification, creation, negotiation, and implementation of effective business development agreements that drive results. You will also contribute to the integration with marketing to grow business-to-business (B2C), driving business growth and results across multiple channels. You will plan and execute prioritized project work using appropriate methods and take initiative to develop your own goals with support from your manager.

You will identify and recommend creative ways to improve solutions to defined problems for partners when identifying opportunities, structuring agreements, or creating joint partner business plans. You will manage and maintain relationships with partners, acting as a primary contact for a partner list. You will demonstrate understanding of public solutions across Software-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service.

The Hardware Partnerships team was formed with the purpose of bringing the best of Google’s software and hardware to our users by bringing to market and distributing a Google-branded hardware portfolio. The team is responsible for managing all partnerships with carriers, retailers and resellers worldwide. This includes the partnerships for products such as Pixel, Google Wifi, Google Nest Thermostat, Chromecast Ultra and Google Home.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 116,000-119,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver partner project that are integrated into overarching projects, supporting internal sales where needed.
  • Contribute to the identification, creation, negotiation, and implementation of effective retail partner agreements that drive results, including the execution of defined promotion activities and special placements
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of industry/vertical/market and an understanding of retail.
  • Identify key stakeholders with Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to build networks and contribute to cross-team collaboration.
  • Plan and execute prioritized project work.Take initiative to develop goals for self with support from manager. Address commonly escalated partner issues or triage, when required.
