Strategic Partner Development Senior Associate, Sports and Streaming Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, or 2 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a similar role.
  • Experience leading and closing complex partnership deals, including experience with negotiation, structuring, and implementation.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and managing projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Broad understanding of the video and entertainment industry, key platforms (e.g., Free Ad Supported Television, Advertising Video On Demand, D2C and CTV/OTT distribution) and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, programmatic advertising).
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to assess partnership opportunities and develop business cases.

As a part of the Google's Media and Entertainment sell-side organization, you will partner with the world’s leading broadcasters, sports leagues, and streaming entertainment providers and platforms to accelerate their digital evolution and drive sustainable revenue growth through Google’s advanced video technology and advertising ecosystem via our Google Ad Manager solution. You will empower partners to reach global audiences and deliver seamless streaming experiences by leveraging cutting-edge platform and monetization solutions in live events and connected TV.

As Strategic Partner Lead, Entertainment, Sports and Streaming Partnerships on the Sellside at Google, you will manage ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with digital video and streaming connected television partners to foster development and growth of the streaming video ecosystem. You will operate as the GM of your book of business, set the strategic direction for each account, drive growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities. You will build long-lasting relationships with partner executives as well as day-to-day operational and programmatic business leads while staying close to emerging trends in the industry to help shape the strategy of our team.

You possess strong relationship-building skills and are adept at resolving contractual, technical and financial issues with partners in order to best represent our users, products and programs. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand complex revenue lines, and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key partners. You demonstrate a hunger for growing your partners' business and are always looking for new ways to expand our existing partnerships.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $112000 - $161000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the partner’s core business, priorities, and challenges and work with Google leaders on overall partner strategy.
  • Manage and grow programmatic revenue, product adoption, and relationships with top video streaming and Connected TV (CTV) partners.
  • Negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, contract negotiations and compliance processes.
  • Create and lead sales pitches and executive partner engagement strategy to develop deep and trusted relationships with executives internally and externally.
  • Understand the full scope of partner monetization and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used, and how ad monetization fits into larger business strategy.
