Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • Experience in working in a highly cross-functional environment, with different teams around the globe and in a consumer product-facing or support services organization.
  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership to translate complex strategic objectives into execution plans.
  • Proven problem-solving skills combined with business judgment, with the ability to synthesize analysis into business recommendations.
  • Excellent data management skills working with disparate sets of data.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, driving projects with multiple collaborators and stakeholders in a change-oriented environment.

About the job

The Business Planning & Analysis team is responsible for running resource and business planning across gTech Users and Products (gUP). As part of the gUP Strategy and Operations team, you’ll become an expert in how gUP provides customer, partner, and product support for almost all of Google’s consumer products. The purpose of the gUP Strategy & Operations team is to function as internal consultants, providing business critical insights using internal and external resources, ensuring cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and managing change management initiatives.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $152000 - $221000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and roll-out of multi-layered business planning for gUP’s budget across the broader gUP organization. Drive monthly, quarterly and annual business planning cycles, drive visibility into resource allocations, budgeting and investment decisions. 
  • Ensure gUP is managing resources wisely by creating strong internal governance for budget management, tracking and reporting. Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams in Finance and GTM.
  • Connect different functions to operate as One gUP when managing the spend portfolio. Help drive change management initiatives to improve reporting, governance, and collaboration. 
  • Analyze, synthesize and deliver actionable reporting and insights for a range of stakeholders. Translate the complicated details into clear recommendations.
  • Identify gaps and propose changes. Own and innovate solutions at scale that can grow with the business, leveraging internal AI tools to amplify your scope and impact.
