Data Analytics Sales Specialist, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience.
  • 5 years of data and analytics consulting experience, either in a management consulting or systems integrator firm, positioning data or AI business use cases or business outcomes for customers.
  • Experience building business cases through workshops or product demos to business executives.
  • Experience developing partnerships with technical stakeholders (e.g., Enterprise Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists).
  • Experience positioning and selling technical solutions in data management, analytics, infrastructure, or AI/ML.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in a sales role selling data analytics or data management technologies to clients.
  • Experience positioning and selling streaming solutions, open data lakehouses, and analytics tools (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Apache Spark) against legacy, proprietary deployment environments.
  • Experience positioning, selling, or showcasing the commercial value of AI platforms, agent-driven applications, and low-latency, highly scalable operational data services on open data foundations.
  • Experience using agentic or AI tools for customer demos and discussions.
  • Knowledge of trends, products, and solutions in Cloud and Data and Analytics (BigQuery, Looker, Dataproc), and the ability to deliver demos.

As a Data Cloud Sales Specialist, you will help us grow our Agentic Data Cloud business by building and expanding relationships with new and existing customers. In this role, you will work with customers to deliver true business value, demonstrate product functionality and provide a comprehensive overview of key business use cases. You will position Google Cloud's data suite (including BigQuery, Knowledge Catalog, Borderless Lakehouse, etc.) as the premium data intelligence platform for Agentic workflows. You will articulate the unique value of Lakehouse, governance, and semantic cataloging in delivering high-quality, hallucination-free AI Agents, enabling customers to leverage unified data foundations for real-time, AI-driven experiences. You will shape customers' cloud and Agentic Data Cloud strategy and enable digital transformation. You will lead with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole to drive overall value for Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with c-level customers as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, managing complex business cycles, identifying solution use cases, and influencing long-term strategic direction of accounts.
  • Deliver against quota and achieve or exceed strategic business and growth goals while forecasting and reporting your territory’s business.
  • Work with Google accounts and cross-functional teams (e.g. Customer Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Channels) to develop go-to-market strategies, drive pipeline and business growth, close agreements, understand the customer, and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Develop Analytics solution roadmaps with customers, understanding their unique and complex requirements on a business and technical level.
  • Present modern architectures (BigQuery, Spark, Spanner, AlloyDB) to demonstrate how unified data foundations power high-performance, hallucination-free AI agents.
