Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership, a people management and team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • 3 years of experience in software testing (unit testing, integration test design) and CI/CD pipeline automation (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • 1 year of experience with LLM application development, RAG, and integrating AI Agent frameworks to drive DevSecOps and workflow automation.

As a Software Engineering Manager you manage your project goals, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team. With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where
lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, provide feedback and coaching.
  • Develop scalable, cross-domain automated test frameworks to minimize script-writing overhead, while driving cross-functional technical coordination to build the device lab for automated scheduling and establish quality dashboards for cross-team data visualization.
  • Review code developed by others and provide feedback to ensure best practices such as style guidelines, checking code accuracy, testability and efficiency.
  • Build AI tools to optimize engineer workflows (e.g., AI-generated code, automated unit test generation), create AI agents to automatically triage bugs and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Focus on system-level optimization, driver debugging, and underlying architecture design (Android/Linux) to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
