Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, AI and Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in test engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and integrating manufacturing Rack/L11 test hardware using custom electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation.
  • Experience coding in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting to generate product-specific test plans and executing test processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with Rack and L11 testing of server, storage, and networking products and with liquid cool system at the rack level for configuration and functional testing.
  • Experience in establishing system calibration, gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R), and correlation study for each change management.
  • Experience with test stations bring-up, calibration and setup for production test purposes.
  • Experience with DFT and system level functional test (L10/L11/L12).
  • Knowledge with the Linux and other operating systems and common command line tools.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement of test systems and processes for increased manufacturability.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$209,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design, build, optimize and deploy Rack and L11 test platforms for Google compute/storage/ML server at the global manufacturing partner factory.
  • Partner with the NPI team to define Design for Test (DFT) requirements and provide input to manufacturing test strategy.
  • Provide caliber manufacturing test engineering support for new and existing products.
  • Drive initiatives to improve test process efficiencies, improve test coverage, and reduce cost.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and root cause manufacturing yield issues and data center field escapes. Drive sustaining test issues to closure with corrective and preventive measures.
