Product Business Development Lead, Android Automotive Partnerships AI

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, management consulting, or partner-facing roles such as product management, technical sales, partnerships, sales enablement, or go-to-market (GTM) strategy, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience in the consumer electronics, auto, OEMs, telecom, e-commerce/retail, apps, ads, gaming, or technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in narrative development, deck creation, presentation, influencing, and negotiation with external partners.
  • Experience working with operating systems and software architecture concepts such as client-server structures and APIs.
  • Experience navigating matrixed cross-functional structures to align product, engineering, UX, legal, and finance teams.
  • Experience in software design or software development.

Our mission in Android Auto is to bring safe and seamless connected experiences to cars and be helpful in every drive. We are a team of passionate builders and car enthusiasts working to bring the best of Google products such as Maps, Gemini, Play, Cast, Digital Car Keys, Android Auto Projected to cars.

The Product Business Development role lies at the intersection of Product and Partnerships, combining the responsibilities of Outbound Product Management, Technical Sales/Partnerships, and Sales Enablement. In this role, you will drive the selling of Android Automotive products and solutions across the Automotive Ecosystem, while serving as the internal “customer” for Google Research and Development (R&D). Your scope will directly encompass emergent AI offerings in Automotive, alongside multi-display and passenger-centric entertainment experiences. To accomplish this, you will work closely with automakers original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), silicon on a chip (SoC) partners, and app developers to shape the future of in-vehicle technology.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $140000 - $203000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary market-facing advocate to promote Google’s Android Automotive products and services to the Automotive ecosystem.
  • Develop and deliver tailored, high-stakes pitches to audiences across varying levels in Product, Procurement, Engineering, Partnerships and Strategy teams—at OEMs, SoC providers and App Developers.
  • Partner deeply with car companies’ product and user experience (UX) teams to explore, scope, and validate necessary product adaptations. Synthesize partner requirements, technical constraints, and design philosophies into actionable feedback for Google’s R&D teams.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to commercialize new features and drive successful market entry strategies for products and features.
