Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in facilities, or a related field.
  • Experience in data analysis and distilling information into graphics, slides, notes and tables.
  • Procurement related experience.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Data Center Business Program Manager, you'll support operations in the business administrative field, collaborating with the site team to develop and manage site budget, establish operations related service contracts, lead monthly financial reviews and quarterly business reviews, negotiate and draft vendor agreements/statements of work, establish and manage purchase orders, approve invoices, etc. You will lead cost control and contractor management for maintenance tasks and small projects and work closely with the site Environmental, Health and Safety Department to ensure safe operations. You will have a pivotal role in ensuring that contractors deliver high quality services according to agreed key performance indicators and that safety measures are being performed. You will be a proactive problem solver with a passion for project management and vendor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely support for purchase orders and financial reviews.
  • Train facility managers and site leaders for budgeting and forecasting processes including familiarizing them with the common tools, spreadsheets and workflows.
  • Draft and expedite statements of work and purchase orders and track spending against same and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish vendor relationships and manage agreements effectively to enhance service delivery.
  • Lead project planning activities, including timeline estimation, resource allocation and status reporting to meet project milestones.
  • Track project progress and manage issues proactively, facilitating meetings to drive resolution and maintain alignment among team members, and document and communicate project outcomes and performance metrics to stakeholders while following organizational protocols.
