Senior Financial Analyst, Large Customer Sales, Global Business Organization Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 5 years of experience with a relevant advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or other similar qualification).
  • Experience working with large data sets and coding languages, database, automation or business intelligence (e.g., SQL, Python, R, JavaScript, Python, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams through problem-framing and problem-structuring, with excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders including highly technical management teams.
  • Ability to structure and solve large, complex and novel analytical problems.

As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.

The team partners with the Large Customer Sales (LCS) leadership to navigate the complexities of our largest markets. By transforming data sets into strategic roadmaps, the team ensures that the company’s most significant business growth engines are optimized for sustainable, long-term growth. Our work doesn't just track performance — it directly influences the strategic choices that influence the entire Alphabet ecosystem.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Leverage technical expertise to provide quantitative analysis on business growth drivers within Retail and the broader digital commerce ecosystem. 
  • Develop and manage business growth reporting and KPI frameworks for the multi-billion-dollar Retail portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Ads Finance, Operations, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure strategic analytical alignment and maintain absolute data consistency across complex, fast-moving global commerce data sets.
  • Manage high-impact ad hoc projects and macro-business modeling initiatives, transforming complex data into creative solutions for big picture commerce challenges that dictate the broader company's growth trajectory.
