Lead Strategic Negotiator, Joint Ventures Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience leading negotiations or business development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in commercial partnerships, corporate development, or business development involving capital-intensive infrastructure (e.g., data centers, energy, utilities).
  • 10 years of experience in the end-to-end structuring, negotiation, and execution of bespoke commercial agreements with developers, funds, and others.
  • 10 years of experience in high-level stakeholder management and strategic engagement with C-suite or equivalent leadership teams.
  • Experience structuring agreements that integrate infrastructure supply (land/power) with technology consumption (chips/cloud/software services).
  • Understanding of mega digital infrastructure projects and their potential applications in various market segments.

Google's infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google's products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google's infrastructure growth. You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

In this role, you will be the strategic engine for securing essential, scalable data center capacity and forging proprietary, long-term partnerships. We drive business growth by pioneering first-of-a-kind agreement structures and expertly managing all leasing and data center partnership transactions.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

France: €132000 - €135000 (EUR) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
Ireland: €146000 - €149000 (EUR) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of Joint Ventures (JVs), pan European Datacentre Partnerships  and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for new data center builds across the EMEA region.
  • Define and lead end-to-end execution of complex commercial partnerships that secure long-term, scalable capacity.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Corporate Development and Cloud to structure ventures, partnerships and complex cross-agreements.
  • Ensure that proposed ventures are aligned with long-term infrastructure supply plans and strategic capacity requirements.
