Media Lab Director, Google Marketing, EMEA

Minimum qualifications:

  • 20 years of experience within a marketing discipline, (e.g., agency, client, start-up, etc.) managing multi-media advertising campaigns for clients
  • Experience working with product marketing focused businesses
  • Digital media experience (e.g. Google Ad products) with experience in conventional media planning and execution
  • Experience in using AI technology specifically in consumer, business and marketing use cases

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, or advanced degree
  • Proficiency in cross-media measurement approaches, media mix modeling, etc.
  • Experience in/with scale marketing organizations balanced with the ability to drive speed and agility
  • Outstanding analytical capability, experience working with product marketing focused businesses
  • Recognized as a highly successful people leader with the ability to motivate teams to excellence, with a passion for creativity.
  • Contacts at major media organizations and publishers

About the job

As the Director of MediaLab, EMEA, you will be responsible for overall media strategy, AI-driven media transformation, media-driven innovation, regional privacy and regulatory compliance for our media and execution across our media campaigns in addition to establishment of approaches, socialization of plans and managing agency partnerships. You will partner closely with other regional and global leaders across Marketing and Media Lab to ensure a cohesive, consistent, and optimized approaches.

In this role, you will think creatively and innovatively about how to create new opportunities for our users to experience the magic of Google. You will blend the art and science of media to constantly test and improve our campaigns balancing historical performance results with consumer behavioral trends to ensure relevance and alignment with culture. Further, you will be responsible for developing unique approaches to media buying and planning aligned with technology evolutions and consumer behavior with AI at the core.

Your business smarts and creative outlook will enable you to work successfully with internal and external partners to develop and execute strategic marketing objectives. Your communications planning will raise our game for how we bring ideas to life by amplifying not just what we say, but critically how we go about saying it. You will be a strategic leader and a change agent who's driven to make great work.

Responsibilities

  • Create pioneering media and communications strategy that drives media amplification across all marketing communications.
  • Lead the EMEA Media Lab’s AI-driven transformation by architecting a predictive and agentic media ecosystem, integrating Generative AI and automated workflows into end-to-end planning and execution to optimize for business ROI and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Act as a primary client point of contact for management of Google media planning across EMEA coordinating with the global Google Media team ensuring regional awareness and alignment.
  • Engage and lead our media agencies to elevating their work inspiring them to innovate.
  • Work cross-functionally with Creative teams, Finance, Business Development, and Brand Marketing to align strategic efforts and priorities marketing efforts.
