Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, solution engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
  • Experience developing customer-focused solutions including: troubleshooting, finding new processes or product features.
  • Experience in the online media landscape.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

As a Product Solutions Engineer, you will work with Japan's largest customers/agencies and own their troubleshooting experience end-to-end. You will support our Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams and our customers, demonstrating a passion for delivering excellent customer service and improving it. You will become a product expert, focused on managing troubleshooting tasks so that the sales teams can concentrate their efforts on client-specific activities. You will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide two-way communication on customer issues and questions. This includes problem prioritization, analysis, and resolution of issues and the result should always be a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service throughout the customer journey, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Google's advertisers and Sales teams, agencies and partners.
  • Apply deep product expertise solving complex technical customer issues and escalations and carrying out strategic projects.
  • Analyze data and insights to identify systemic improvement opportunities, own and execute projects to lead improvements in product, technology, operational process, policy and customer awareness.
  • Engage with Google Advertisers, Product, Engineering, Policy and Sales teams, agencies, and partners to build strong relationships and foster collaborative problem-solving.
  • Partner with our Sales, Agency, and other cross-functional Partner teams (as applicable) to own and continuously improve the journey of all clients across, resolve complex issues and understand customer pain points.
