About the job

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.

As a Business Finance Analyst within the APAC Central Intelligence Analytics team, your role serves as the central Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) backbone and strategic engine for Google's APAC Ads business. You will drive sustainable growth and support broader Alphabet Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) by orchestrating complex quota allocations, managing regional Operational Expenditure (OpEx), and delivering high-visibility executive reporting. By seamlessly blending data engineering, AI-driven automation, and deep financial analysis, you will empower regional and global leadership with the proactive insights needed for smart decision-making and long-term value creation.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end bottoms-up and top-down quota setting cycles for APAC sub-regions across products. Manage complex transitions, facilitate quota trading windows, and resolve intricate portfolio mapping issues and goal adjustments.
  • Lead the production of critical leadership deliverables and executive revenue dashboards. Oversee and distribute the APAC annual non-payroll OpEx budget, track investments for regional events while ensuring strict compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive tracking and reporting for major growth initiatives, evaluating base/stretch opportunities, and maintaining scorecards.
  • Modernize finance workflows by deprecating legacy tools and pioneering the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) tools and advanced Business Intelligence (BI) platforms to automate modeling and reporting.
  • Partner extensively with regional finance leads, global finance peers, and Go-to-Market (GTM)/sales leadership. Manage regional deadlines with cross-functional teams and advocate for regional sales teams at the global level.
