Strategic Industry Pursuit Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a business development or technical leadership role within a cloud service provider (CSP).
  • Experience in managing enterprise sales involving Commercial clients and Public Sector/Government-linked entities.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience in navigating the market landscape in two or more of the following markets: Singapore, Greater China Region (GCR), South Korea, or Australia/New Zealand.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the competitive landscape, and the ability to articulate value propositions for advanced data and AI workloads.
  • Ability to identify common tech stack requirements across various sectors (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Retail, Manufacturing) and apply cross-industry solutions.
  • Immediate, strong connections across target markets, including enterprise leaders, innovation centers, and high-growth digital ventures.
  • Familiarity with regional data sovereignty, security frameworks, and local industry compliance standards.

The Industry Specialist serves as a principal business builder and strategic domain lead, bridging deep industry domain expertise with enterprise-grade Cloud and AI infrastructure solutions.

In this role, you will define and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies, lead high-value cross-industry campaigns, and maintain full end-to-end ownership of the agreement lifecycle.

Designed for a proactive builder, this position requires a leader who can move beyond transactional selling to position the company as a premier, long-term strategic partner for enterprise digital transformation in key growth and emerging industries and new frontiers.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the Go-To-Market strategy across assigned regional markets. Identify emerging market trends, target verticals, and growth drivers to establish deep industry credibility.
  • Conceptualize, launch, and drive cross-industry campaigns that address shared enterprise challenges and showcase scalable Cloud/AI capabilities.
  • Build and nurture a strategic ecosystem of ISVs, SIs, and domain-specialized partners to create turnkey solutions that accelerate time-to-value for customers.
  • Identify successful local or vertical wins and package them into repeatable, cross-industry playbooks and industry solutions for expansion into commercial markets across the region.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships and make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
