Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of industry experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or IT, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience architecting and packaging Enterprise ad tech solutions, with technical expertise and ability to sell the solutions internally and externally.
  • Experience working with clients, advising on marketing/business performance and influencing decisions.
  • Experience with retail media/shopper marketing programs from a Retail or Brand side.
  • Ability to build relationships with key client stakeholders to gain buy-in, and successfully pitch and sell in/gain adoption of Google product solutions.
  • Ability to provide insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations to clients and cross- functional stakeholders, including both external C-level and internal Google executives.
  • Project management skills to drive product adoption.

As a member of the GMP sales team, you will be at the forefront of driving platform adoption and delivering long-term impact for clients and Google. Commerce Media is a massive opportunity, and you will have a unique skill set to seamlessly navigate both the technical and sales sides of the business to unlock this space for Retailers and Brands. Success in the role involves onboarding retailers onto Google's new retail media solutions within DV360 (spanning audiences and measurement), as well as equipping our broader sales teams with the knowledge to effectively pitch this program to their Brand customers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $138000 - $200000 (USD) + 60% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle from pitching to onboarding—driving Retailer adoption of Google's Commerce Media product solutions (primarily DV360) for both audiences and measurement. Partner with cross-functional teams (Retail Specialists, Sales Pods, Product, Global Product Solutions Lead (GPSL), GTM, gTech, Engineering) to activate and scale these solutions.
  • Accelerate revenue growth by collaborating across Google’s sales ecosystem to advocate, educate, and co-pitch our Commerce offerings to DV360 Brand customers.
  • Ensure robust processes, clear roles, and effective metrics are in place to meet organizational goals. Make strategic prioritization decisions, equitably allocate work, and manage resources to maximize business impact.
  • Demonstrate exceptional judgment and adaptability by removing obstacles and communicating clear pivots during times of change. Foster a culture of innovation and thoughtful risk-taking to deliver continued business impact for Google.
