Senior Software Engineer, Agent Development Kit

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or conversational AI systems, especially in the development of AI agents or agentic frameworks.
  • Experience with AI, LLMs, Trust and Safety and experience with adversarial testing of GenAI products.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, products, and the market landscape.

This is a role with the autonomy to manage your project priorities and make a significant impact on a high-visibility, open-source product. You will also play a vital role in cultivating our team's innovative culture as we grow.

The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community. We also collaborate with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our customers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Poland: zł364000 - zł374000 (PLN) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Agent Development Kit (ADK) in Go.
  • Work closely with customers to onboard them to the ADK and the GenAI ecosystem.
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
