Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security, Intelligence, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience working in a security or threat intelligence position in the public or private sector.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Experience creating executive-level briefings and presentations.
  • Experience with Google Workspace products, including artificial intelligence applications.
  • Experience in writing and editing, corporate writing style, and grammar.
  • Understanding of the intelligence lifecycle, online research tools, and physical security risks and trends.
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support business event demands.

As a Data Center Security Manager, you deliver full pieces of a project and make significant contributions with minimal guidance. You use your knowledge of security technology, data analysis, and data visualization to plan efforts of a team responsible for small to medium sized initiatives by delivering value-added perspectives and influencing project direction. You contribute to cross-team collaborations, identify and recommend multiple creative ways to solve defined problems. You also demonstrate the behaviors expected of all Googlers as captured in Google's cultural pillars, and you engage in community contributions to improve and sustain our culture and operations, making Google a better place to work.

The Threat Analysis and Crisis Services team is a part of Google Data Center’s Compliance, Strategy, and Risk Management organization. We provide 24/7 risk monitoring, crisis support, and intelligence to protect Google’s Technical Infrastructure—including our people, operations, assets, and supply chain.

By using data-driven insights from open sources, public-private partnerships, and third-party intelligence, Threat Analysis and Crisis Services transforms signals into risk assessments. Our work enables the safe expansion of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Cloud business growth, ensuring that Google’s physical and technical foundation remains resilient against emerging global risks.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $111,000-$159,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and secure infrastructure within a defined geographical region through executing and improving the risk analysis and crisis services program for Google’s data centers and technical infrastructure.
  • Coordinate delivery of risk assessments, intelligence briefings, and position papers that influence decision making and business continuity.
  • Participate in incident response and deliver communications documenting impacts and response actions for stakeholders, and participate in a rotational weekend on-call schedule.
  • Assist in defining and executing the risk intelligence program strategy for Google’s technical infrastructure.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze security risks to their business.
