Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experiencemanaging critical facilities or technical infrastructure operations, including budget management and team leadership.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) controls and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Experience in commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems (chillers, air handling units) to include air and water side systems.
- Experience in procurement and negotiation with vendors, including managed service delivery.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with mechanical maintenance including fire and safety systems, buildings infrastructure, pumps, tanks, piping, elevators, or cooling systems (e.g., HVAC equipment, chillers, cooling towers).
- Experience operating, maintenance, or troubleshooting facility electrical systems.
- Experience in critical facilities management.
- Experience in facility mechanical systems.
About the job
As the Technical Services Lead for India, you will be responsible for defining an ambitious operational direction, strategic roadmap, and performance goals for core building and campus infrastructure (high, medium and low voltage electrical, mechanical systems, utility management, technology integrations, building management systems etc. ) across a landscape of commercial offices, and high and low density labs. You will lead an ecosystem of outsourced service providers, technical consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional infrastructure performance. You will be the single point of accountability for your programs, developing strong partnerships with suppliers to elevate day-to-day experience of building occupants; eliminate disruptions caused by infrastructure and support the delivery of a holistic workplace experience that empowers collaboration, productivity, and well-being for Googlers.
Leveraging deep operational leadership experience, and a strong technical understanding you will drive core objectives focused on infrastructure reliability, efficiency, and AI integration. Specifically, driving an AI-native agenda to enhance infrastructure management; leading strategic supplier relationships; leveraging data-driven insights for performance management; and providing financial and creative leadership to ensure systems scale with Google's growth.

Responsibilities
- Establish long-term operational road maps, performance targets, and design standards for supplier facility teams and technical consultants across critical infrastructure.
- Direct utility agreements, solar interconnects, and vendor partnerships while implementing innovative agreement structures, performance metrics, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Partner with matrixed regional pillars to deliver scalable infrastructure support for research labs, data centers, Electric Vehicle (EV) charging, and office portfolios.
- Drive system resilience, 100% business uptime, and smart building analytics while executing industry-leading Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) benchmarks and occupant wellness goals.
- Leverage AI-powered maintenance intelligence across critical electrical assets to maximize asset lifecycles, capture utility incentives, and enforce budget efficiency.
