Creative Business Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.
  • Experience working with digital organizations.
  • Experience identifying and recommending scalable solutions to improve customer strategy, and working with executive leadership.
  • Experience with YouTube’s ad solutions, the creator economy, and the application of Generative AI in creative workflows.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience within an advertising agency, in-house creative team, or digital media company.
  • Experience managing multi-product solutions for major global brands.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, ambiguous organizational structures and influence stakeholders without official authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable creative strategies.

As a part of the SSA Specialist team, you will combine a various set of product expertise to build comprehensive digital marketing solutions for the biggest advertisers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Your aim is to ensure that they have the right media strategy and measurement for digital campaigns that drive real, measurable business outcomes, as the guiding principles include leading transformational change with Sales Teams and Advertisers. You will collaborate across teams to solve clients’ biggest challenges, grow skills, teams and clients’ businesses.

In this role, you will deliver on this mission to integrate creative strategy and Generative AI innovation directly into core solutions. You will lead that charge, ensuring that our advertisers’ creative storytelling is as sophisticated, data-backed, and impact as the media strategies supporting it.Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand and creative leaders as a strategic architect, leveraging advanced diagnostics to unlock new creative opportunities and prove the direct link between asset execution and business growth.
  • Serve as the regional authority on data-backed creative frameworks, ensuring industry-leading principles are embedded into major campaigns to maximize engagement and Return on Investment (ROI).
  • Manage relationships with Influencer Management Agencies (IMAs) and provide clear, actionable direction on how creator assets should be structured and produced to drive maximum brand impact on YouTube.
  • Advocate for the regional narrative on Generative AI as a collaborative partner that amplifies human creativity, establishing emerging technology as an essential tool for modern storytelling.
  • Connect the creative community and global engineering teams, providing real-world feedback from the region to shape the roadmap for future AI products and tools.
