Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent policy/compliance certification.

  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, executive management, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements to audiences.
  • Demonstrated analytical capacity to structure complex environments, synthesize fragmented inputs, and deliver effective, balanced recommendations.

The Risk, Compliance and Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance a competitive advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization and governance and consistent and constructive regulator engagement.

In this role, you are responsible for helping to develop, drive, and execute on Google's compliance program management. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining compliance policies, frameworks and standards, associated inventories and taxonomies, ensuring adherence to policy standards. You will engage broadly to build awareness and solicit input in the development and refinement of frameworks and will advise on questions pertaining to these.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $136000 - $196000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain core policy requirements, including the policy on policies and standardized templates.
  • Manage comprehensive taxonomies and inventories for all policies, standards, and related documentation.
  • Prevent compliance gaps and overlaps by guiding policy owners through updates and enforcing strict quality, review, and approval standards.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness and organizational impact of the policy framework.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop business requirement documents (BRDs) for process automation, while serving as the primary subject matter expert for all general program inquiries.
