Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience executing business applications, data analysis, and programs in a cross-functional environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing data and analytics efforts using BigQuery, Spanner, Looker, Tableau.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and SaFE.
  • Demonstrated industry experience executing business applications, data and analytics programs in a highly cross functional environment.
  • Knowledge of ERPs, preferably SAP, with experience in the financial planning and analysis, finance, and sales operations domains.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The Data and Analytics team in Ads Measurement, Privacy, Partnership, Platforms and Display (AMPD) Finance Systems and Data Analytics team enables solutions for all teams within the organization and for cross-functional partners. The primary focus of this team is system and process engineering, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML based solutions.

In this role, you will be a program leader of the Data and Analytics effort to deliver business insights, intelligence and analytics for the AMPD finance organization and partners. You will work cross-functionally across the regional organization, as well as partner with teams across the Platforms and Devices product area.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team of developers, business systems analysts, financial planning and analysis, sales finance, regional finance, sales operations and cross-functional partners. Sustain, and deliver a portfolio of application, data and analytics, AI/ML efforts from concept to launch.
  • Partner with stakeholders to set the goal and direction of programs by outlining objectives, evaluating and supervising multiple projects, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
  • Understand the people, technical processes, code and requirements to integrate dependencies, software release dates, feature development milestones and other deliverables into a coherent and workable roadmap and schedule.
  • Drive weekly software releases, bug burndown, triaging, prioritizing, and to better enable goal completion in the midst of shorter-term priorities.
  • Partner with business partners and stakeholders to prioritize needs, and develop the solutions. Work with development teams to plan and implement tech roadmaps.
