Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in operations or business management, and vendor management.
  • 7 years of experience using analytics or applying project management tools.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience setting and driving vendor strategy, process improvement, contracting and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience managing vendor operations and working with globally managed service providers and crowdsourcing.
  • Strong investigative thinking skills, with experience working with dashboards and data.
  • Ability to agreement with multiple conflicting priorities and stakeholder issues/requirements, driving pragmatic decisions/actions to deliver continuous improvement across operations.
  • Tenacious problem solver demonstrating solid project management skills, including ability to define projects, execute within timelines and navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills, and ability to successfully work and influence across multiple levels of the organization and regions.

About the job

As the Vendor Alliances and Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in the American Business Development sales organization and as part of the Customer Experience organization. You will be part of a high performing management team and lead the overall supplier partnerships that deliver outcomes to the business. You will direct our trusted regional suppliers to deliver exceptional business results through Vendor Business Development Representatives (BDRs), while ensuring an outstanding experience to customers and prospects. Your work will be critical so that the organization as a whole can meet or exceed our business and growth goals.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Canada: $170000 - $174000 (CAD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage relationships with vendor service providers, partnering closely with suppliers and internal Google Cloud teams to ensure high-quality output, and serve as the main escalation point for performance and relationship issues.
  • Lead regular business reviews to ensure vendor sites meet or exceed goals.
  • Identify operational gaps and design scaled workflows and network-wide improvements to continually improve quality of service while reducing cost to serve.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders to overcome operational issues.
  • Understand end-to-end processes impacting the operation (including contracting, finances, capacity, and workflows) and support stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.
