Strategy and Operations Manager, Global Ads and Commerce Marketing

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a management consulting, operations, business strategy, marketing strategy, investment banking, venture capital or private equity role.
  • 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a GTM (Marketing/Sales) function.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with investigative problem-solving and quantitative analysis.
  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
  • Ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence executives.
  • Ability to independently navigate ambiguity and lead strategic initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

About the job

As a Strategy and Operations Manager for Google Ads and Commerce Marketing, you will manage the definition of our global Marketing Technology and Applied AI strategy. In close collaboration with cross-functional leaders across Marketing and Engineering, you will define strategic roadmaps and operating plans that enable growth, operational excellence, and innovation. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, align executive stakeholders, and help ensure our technology investments drive long-term business value.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $141000 - $205000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Develop global Marketing Technology and Applied AI strategy and roadmaps in close partnership with Marketing and Engineering leaders.
  • Support members of Ads and Commerce Marketing leadership team as a trusted thought partner. 
  • Lead strategic initiatives and communicate business insights and findings to executive leadership to drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead the annual strategic planning process and OKR setting to align cross-functional priorities with business goals. 
  • Drive financial and resource excellence by overseeing budget, managing resourcing needs, and aligning investments with strategic priorities through the annual planning process.
