Strategy and Operations Principal Lead, Sellside Americas Business Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a Chief of Staff role, or a similar role requiring leadership of varied strategic and operational initiatives while working closely with executive leaders.
  • Knowledge of Google’s Ads products, sales teams, or service operations as well as the customer and engaged contexts in which they operate, particularly for publishers and developers on the "sellside" of the ecosystem.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the “big picture" to executive and executive leadership teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details.
  • Ability to work in an environment and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Within Global Partnerships, the Sellside organization works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The team partners with Publishers and App Developers of all sizes to promote their ad inventory, working with Google's broad range of partner solutions including AdSense, AdMob, and Ad Manager, across mobile, display, and video formats, helping our partners and their audiences get the most out of the web. In addition, the Partnerships team supports Google’s own product teams with essential partnerships to help power Google’s user experiences in search, maps, travel, shopping, payments and more.

To better support the business, a new Sellside organization has been created that brings together the range of teams that support Sellside sales business operations including strategy and operations, learning and development, data tools and solutions and the sellside sales support engine. These groups are the business partners to the executives in the sellside supporting on a range of topics from ongoing operations to run the business, through to transformational projects to ensure future success.

In this role, you will have experience serving successfully as a trusted thought partner to executive and the flexibility to work on a range of problems from influencing business strategy to increasing organizational effectiveness and driving operational excellence.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $186000 - $270000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Act as strategic thought partner to the sellside Americas lead, advising on operations and organizational structure.
  • Lead management of key business operating metrics (e.g., business performance, targets) and executive governance forums to increase accountability and share actionable insights against key metrics and roadmaps that accelerate our ability to meet publisher and developer needs for the sellside Americas business.
  • Lead and drive sensitive and critical projects for executive leaders by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritized scope and approach for resolution in ambiguous situations, then driving to action.
  • Function as lead strategy business partner for cross-functional projects and initiatives, liaising across Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.
