Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in sales and commercial business leadership within digital or omni-channel environments.
- Experience building and maintaining board and C-suite level partnerships within multinational or matrix organizations.
- Ability to communicate in German and English fluently to support client relationships.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in sales coaching and effectively leading an organization through a layer of direct report managers.
- Experience navigating complex matrix organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to pivot effortlessly between high-level strategy and technical knowledge of products.
- Deep expertise in the digital advertising ecosystem and how platforms enable growth through data-driven, AI-powered solutions.
- Track record of managing and scaling ambitious, high-growth digital portfolios with sophisticated advertising strategies.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams through periods of growth, with a strong focus on digital talent attraction and development.
About the job
As a Sales Director in the Digital First Sector within Large Customer Sales (LCS), you will lead Google’s partnerships with the largest high-velocity, digitally-native companies that are shaping the future of our economy, both locally in Germany as well as on an international scale. You will oversee a portfolio of customers characterized by high digital sophistication and a requirement for fast-paced execution. In this role, you will act as a lead seller for AI-powered advertising solutions, specifically driving growth through Search and YouTube and will work cross-functionally to develop strategic client relationships that drive high growth.
You will be at the forefront of driving AI transformation with C-suite executives, helping them rewire their businesses for growth in the AI era. As a primary advocate for the Digital First sector, you will drive and communicate business strategies, lead growth opportunities, and motivate a high-performing team to deliver scalable growth strategies in a highly competitive environment.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.Germany: €200000 - €205000 (EUR) + 80% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies driving ad sales and business growth with all advertisers on a national/international level in a competitive environment.
- Establish and execute revenue strategies, account plans, and joint strategic plans by nurturing C-level relationships addressing client needs and uncovering new business opportunities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team to drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and deliver AI-powered marketing solutions through consultative selling.
- Collaborate closely with the InCountry leadership and in the hub as a key contributor to sector strategy, business planning and management with a one sector approach.
- Drive Google ecosystem growth by leading product strategy and advocating for AI-powered solutions across Search and YouTube to turn high-level vision into compliant, real-world results aligned with Google's best practices.
